Web Developer

Description:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate web developer to join our IT department. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining our car display website, implementing optimizations, and collaborating with team members to create a visually stunning and highly functional web presence. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, takes initiative, and has experience in web development, particularly within a medium-sized organization.

Responsibilities:

• Display cars effectively on our website.
• Perform website optimization for speed and scalability.
• Write efficient, well-documented code following best software development practices.
• Create visually appealing websites using languages like HTML and CSS.
• Collaborate with programmers and web designers to achieve the desired visual design.
• Communicate with business colleagues to gather and refine requirements and specifications within an agreed-upon timeline.
• Research and stay updated on various software programs.
• Create and maintain documentation for the software used.
• Continuously improve and enhance websites after initial development.
• Develop contingency plans to handle website downtimes.

Qualifications:

• A background in IT and web design is compulsory.
• At least 6 months of experience working in a medium-sized organization’s IT department
• Experience in managing an e-commerce business is an advantage.
• Experience in sales is an added advantage.
• Must be Microsoft Office literate.
• Good standard of spoken English.
• Excellent social and communication skills.
• Must have experience working as a team member.
• Willingness to perform other duties as advised.
